106 letters written from Bursa Yıldırım to Sarıkamış in order to commemorate the 78 thousand martyrs who lost their lives in the Sarıkamış Operation and to give morale to the soldiers who still continue their military service, were delivered by Yıldırım Municipality administrators in Sarıkamış.
KARS (İGFA) – Letters written for moral purposes were delivered from Yıldırım district of Bursa to Mehmetçik in Sarıkamış, Kars. Yıldırım Municipality Deputy Mayor Taner Taştekin and Municipal Council Member Sefik Kaya, Bursa Sarıkamıslılar Culture and Solidarity Association Chairman Murat Kalaycı went to Kars to deliver the letters.
Sarıkamış District Governor Recep Koşal also attended the delivery program at the Sarıkamış District Gendarmerie Command. While Mehmetçikler, who read the written letters, had emotional moments, Yıldırım Deputy Mayor Taner Taştekin presented the Holy Quran and Bayrak to the District Governor Koşal.
The delegation in Sarıkamış visited the Upper Sarıkamış Martyrdom after the program. 400 Hatims made in Bursa Yildirim were gifted with prayers to the souls of the martyrs. {2nd}
