In the collection to be exhibited at the Walled City Museum, TRNC Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş, the symbolic name of Turkish aviation, who came to support the Turkish Air Force’s Erenköy Struggle in Cyprus in 1964 and was martyred by inhuman treatment, air pilot captain Cengiz Topel and In addition to Mehmet Ertuğ, who is an important symbol of the Turkish Cypriot shadow play, there will be many names who have shaped the Turkish Cypriot culture in different fields.
Head of Near East Museums Department Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul said that they want to bring these names, who are among the important symbols of the history and culture of Cyprus, alive in the Walled City Museum, and bring them together with young generations and keep them alive for centuries. Stating that one of the most important missions of the Walled City Museum, which was established with the initiatives of Günsel Family and Near East University, is to protect the Nicosia city culture and the cultural values of the Turkish Cypriot Community and to transfer it to the future.
