The children of Derik experienced the happiness of planting saplings in their school gardens within the scope of the “Children without Loving Schools Don’t Leave Without Money Project” initiated by the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality for a greener city.
MARDİN (IGFA) – Within the scope of the “Children Do Not Leave Schools Without Loving Schools Without Money”, which was initiated by Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Department of Women and Family Services to inherit a greener and livable Mardin to future generations, the staff of the Department of Women and Family Services, Derik district Subaşı Primary School ‘ He visited and met with the students. Staff trained students on the importance of planting saplings and protecting the environment. By planting saplings in the school garden together with the students, students were provided with a productive and pleasant time.
Head of Women and Family Services Department Hacire Öncü stated that they aimed to instill the sensitivity of giving importance to nature by making future generations love green.
Expressing that they aim to create a healthy life and nature awareness, Öncü said, “Within the scope of this project, 47 schools in rural neighborhoods will be included in the activity framework. The project is aimed to be completed in 1 year under the planned conditions. With this project, we started the project in Derik Subaşı Primary School as Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Department of Women and Family Services as of March 3, 2021. This service will also be provided to schools in other rural areas in certain periods. ”
