A meeting was held in which local products such as olives and almonds were discussed under the chairmanship of Mardin Governor Mahmut Demirtaş.
MARDİN (İGFA) – Governor Mahmut attended the meeting where the issue of increasing the efficiency of Mardin’s local products was discussed. In addition to Demirtaş, Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Murat Süzen, TKDK Provincial Coordinator Erdal Çelik, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Menduh Dinler and related persons attended.
Governor Demirtaş emphasized that Mardin has large and fertile lands. He said that they owned a few fertile lands. Noting that it is important to protect and protect the lands and to increase the productivity of the products, Governor Demirtaş reminded that the olive, which has become the symbol of Derik and received awards worldwide, is the livelihood of the people of the region. Saying, “We are planning to distribute olive seedlings to increase olive production,” Demirtaş said, “We also worked on lavender production in a few districts. We will soon reap the fruits of these efforts. We are constantly producing projects to provide the best service to our citizens. We are trying to use our resources in the most efficient way. We will also support all projects that will be in the interest and favor of our city ”.
