Performance awards for 8 academicians at ASU

8 academicians from Aksaray University (ASU) were awarded the achievement award for their performance.

AKSARAY (İGFA) – Aksaray University (ASÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Şahin said that universities have multiple functions such as research and publication, relations with students and society.

According to the ASU Academic Performance Evaluation Directive, the applications received within the scope of the call made for 2020 were evaluated and the academicians who were awarded the award received their documents at the ceremony. Making a brief evaluation at the award ceremony before the Senate Meeting, Rector Şahin said that universities have more than one function.

Noting that the first of these is research and publication, the second is educational activities where students are at the center, and the third is relations established with the society. When viewed from a close frame that is meant, the city is the country when the frame is expanded a little more, and the whole humanity when it is expanded further. In other words, while universities are researching and publishing, they transfer their knowledge to the next generation by sharing their knowledge with students, and on the other hand, they bring together their knowledge and capacity with the society. “We congratulate all our friends and wish them success in their work,” said the Rector.
