Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş visited the National Wrestler Umur Aybey, who works in Büyükşehir Belediyespor, at his home. Mayor Aktaş said that they are expecting Olympic degrees from Aybey, who achieved many successes despite his young age.
BURSA (İGFA) – Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Alinur, who visited the athletes who were working with limited opportunities due to the pandemic, at their homes. Aktaş gives them moral support. In this context, Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who visited Metropolitan Belediyespor’s National Wrestler Umur Aybey, chatted with the young athlete. AK Party Osmangazi District Chairman Ufuk Cömez, Bursa Metropolitan Belediyespor Club President Gökhan Dinçer, coaches and club managers also attended the visit, which took place in a sincere atmosphere.
Mayor Aktaş said that Büyükşehir Belediyespor continues to do good works. He stated that they visit young people doing sports at their homes from time to time. Underlining that wrestling is an ancestor sport, Mayor Aktaş said, “Wrestling is actually a sport that has existed in Bursa since ancient times. I hope we will make a special effort to revive the wrestling sport when the pandemic process is completed. Umur Aybey is our national athlete. He is also studying physical education teaching. He is a man from his grandfather and father who grew up in wrestling. He is only 20 years old and we expect great success from him. He has previously won the Balkan Championship, third place in Europe and fifth in the world. But we are also expecting Olympic degrees from him. ”
Stating that the athlete who got an Olympic degree in Bursa will make the whole city happy, Mayor Aktaş said,“ Hatice Kübra İlgün makes us proud in taekwondo. We want to add new pride to our organization. ”
