The unforgettable folk poet Özay Gönlüm, who introduced Denizli’s folk culture and melodies to the whole world, was commemorated on the 21st anniversary of his death with an online concert organized by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality.
DENİZLİ (İGFA) – Denizli Metropolitan Municipality did not forget the famous minstrel Özay Gönlüm on the 21st anniversary of his death. Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory artists performed beautiful works of the artist within the scope of the 21st Year Commemoration Program of Özay Gönlüm. The program, in which Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Folk Dances team also participated, was broadcast on the social media accounts of the Metropolitan Municipality and local TV channels.
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan stated that it was the 21st anniversary of the departure of Denizli artist Özay Gönlüm. He stated that they will continue to keep them alive. Mayor Zolan said that the health of the citizens is paramount and therefore they organize the programs online due to the pandemic.
