Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu became the trade and investment task force co-chair of the global business world formation B20.
BURSA (İGFA) – The leading business world of G20 countries B20, which brought together its companies and industrial organizations, held its first meeting at the Italian Presidency on 21-22 January. Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu, who assumed the Co-Chairmanship of the Trade and Investment Task Force of B20, stated that he is proud to co-chair this important task force covering 22 sectors in 29 countries and represent our country in this task force.
Addressing the B20 members on the second day of the meetings, Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu said, “Considering the difficulties of the period we are in, I believe that the B20 will undertake a very important role in the Italian Presidency. All stakeholders, from governments to the business world, need to take this consultation process more seriously in order to tackle global problems that are becoming more difficult to solve with each passing day. In this context, I think that a more robust and institutional follow-up mechanism should be established that will ensure that our recommendations on the issues we will work on throughout the year will be monitored and will help to strengthen, not repeat, the same efforts in the coming years. I hope that the Italian Presidency can serve such a purpose ”.
