SİİRT (of IGF) – Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI) Regional Directorate of Siirt, 2020 has announced the statistics on home sales in December. According to the information given by TÜİK Siirt Regional Director Ercüment TOKA; home sales compared to the previous year by 11.2 per cent in Turkey, it grew 6.9 percent in Siirt.
Housing sales in Siirt increased by 6.9 percent in 2020 compared to the previous year, reaching 2,790. In the January-December period, mortgaged house sales increased by 47.4 percent to 734, while other sales decreased by 2.7 percent to 2 thousand 56. In 2020, the share of mortgage sales was 26.3 percent and the share of other sales was 73.7 percent.
In 2020, the houses sold for the first time in Siirt increased by 7 percent and became 1,68. Second-hand house sales also increased by 7 percent and amounted to 722 thousand. First hand house sales rate was 38.4 percent, second hand house sales rate was 61.6 percent. Mortgaged house sales in Siirt increased by 47.4 percent compared to the previous year and became 734. While 300 of the mortgage sales were the houses sold for the first time, 434 were second hand houses.
While men owned 2 thousand 68 houses and women 550 houses in Siirt in 2020, 22 houses were bought by women and men jointly. 150 houses were purchased by legal entities and foreigners. Housing sales in Siirt decreased by 32.3 percent in December 2020 compared to the same month of the previous year and became 287. 152 of these sales were realized as first sales and 135 as second hand sales.
Mortgaged house sales in Siirt decreased by 58.2 percent in December compared to the same month of the previous year and became 28. 17 of the mortgage sales were realized as first sales and 11 as second hand sales.
