Aegean Exporters’ Associations, in cooperation with EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) and Binyaprak, launched the EIB Export-Up Mentorship Program for women and young entrepreneurs who are new to export and who want to start exporting.
İZMİR (İGFA) – Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator President Jak Eskinazi, within the scope of the program, brought women and young entrepreneurs together with EİB Board members to achieve their personal and business goals.
“This common mind system, which we have created with practices such as regular trainings and mentoring, is one of the most important components that will enable our human resources to lead the transformation. In 2020, we established the Young Exporters Council (GIK) in order for young people and women to focus on exports and carry out studies. Almost half of the GIK is made up of our women exporters. The biggest representation in TIM Women’s Council belongs to our Aegean women exporters. One of every 3 exporters consists of our Aegean women exporters. The EIB Export-Up Mentorship Program, which will increase the export potential of the Aegean Region, has been designed to support and mobilize the experience of exporters in our region, women and young entrepreneurs who are new to their international journeys. Within the scope of the project, we aimed to support the company and factories to better plan their own career development, including field visits, and to create a program where mentors would also learn by teaching. In the program that will last 6 months, beneficiary (mentee) -mentor matching will be made by considering expectations and resumes. Meetings, which are targeted an average of 6 times a month, can either be face-to-face or electronically. ”
