Ministry of Industry and Technology, Strategic Research and Efficiency General Manager Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Ar visited the ‘Bursa Model Factory (BMF), which was designed by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) to accelerate the transition of companies to the new industrial era with the goal of efficiency and lean transformation.
BURSA ( İGFA) – Bursa Model Factory, which was brought to Bursa’s economy in March 2019 under the leadership of BTSO and in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and UNDP, contributes to the next generation transformation move in the industry. The center, which is offered to the service of business representatives, is the General Manager of Strategic Research and Productivity Prof. Dr. İlker Murat Ar visited. BTSO Vice Chairman of the Board Cüneyt Şener, BEBKA General Secretary Assoc. Dr. M. Zeki Durak and the Provincial Director of Industry and Technology Latif Deniz accompanied the General Manager Ar.
TO PREPARE OUR MAIN TARGET FIRMS FOR THE NEW TERM
Vice President of BTSO Cüneyt Şener noted that the center supports all businesses from large-scale companies to SMEs in raising the necessary infrastructure and human resources for digital transformation. Stating that BMF guides companies in many areas from productivity increase to quality, from lean production to digital transformation, Şener stated that they aim for companies in Bursa to benefit more from the center. “With the Model Factory, we provide SMEs with lean manufacturing and digital transformation competence by using experimental learning techniques.” Şener said, “In the Model Factory, trainings are given in 19 different modules on subjects such as process approach, Kaizen, SMED, competency management, workstation design and energy efficiency. Our SMEs, who have received theoretical and applied training in the Model Factory so far, have made significant progress in productivity, quality, cost and energy efficiency. In the coming period, we will continue our efforts to ensure that more of our companies benefit from the Model Factory. ” he said.
LEAN TRANSFORMATION HIGHLIGHT

A NEW GENERATION FICTION AS A REAL FACTORY
Founded by the BTSO in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone. The focus of Bursa Model Factory is to prevent leakage losses in the production processes of manufacturing SMEs, to integrate digital technologies into production systems and to realize energy efficiency transformation. Bursa Model Factory, which is built like a real factory, has a completely domestic production CNC lathe and milling cutter, press brake, laser cutting machine, assembly line and a production line with operators. In the Model Factory, which has the quality to serve every sector, a tracked robot carrier consisting of 260 parts is produced.
