Ayyıldız said, “Normally, Mardin is not passed through snow in February. snowfall and cold weather all over Turkey, while effective in Mardin arrived early spring. “Even almond trees, which we are not used to, bloomed in February.”
The officials of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture emphasized that there are many almond trees in and around Mardin and that almond contributes to the economy of Mardin in a considerable amount and stated that they are worried about the damage to the early flowering almond trees.
