MALATYA (İGFA) – President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Yeşilyurt Municipality, which supports the ‘Zero Waste’ projects initiated throughout the country under the leadership of his wife Emine Erdoğan, ensures the disposal of 14 different waste groups collected by ‘Packaging Waste Collection and Separation’ facilities in clean and hygienic environments
Yeşilyurt Mayor Mehmet Çınar stated that 4 collection vehicles and 27 personnel work in the fully automatic ‘Packaging Waste Collection and Separation’ facilities, and that 557 tons of paper, cardboard packaging waste was collected in the neighboring areas of Yesilyurt last year. Stating that they ensure that the recycling is sent to licensed facilities, Çınar said, “By collecting 557 tons of paper and cardboard packaging waste collected as a result of field studies throughout the district, they prevented 15,596 cubic meters of water saving and 9,469 trees from being cut down, 2 million 283 thousand 700 kWh ‘ We have prevented the harm of such wastes to the environment by saving energy. ”
