BURSA (IGF A) – equal education of students in rural areas of Turkey Realizing that they are being deprived of their opportunities and coming together with the aim of providing individuals from all walks of life with modern living conditions, Prof. Dr. A group of intellectuals together with Türkan Saylan established the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life on February 21, 1989. Prof. Dr. Aysel Ekşi, nineteen years Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan, Prof. Dr. Aysel Çelikel and Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel is running it. ÇYDD; especially for girls and boys to enjoy the right to education equally and for all students to access modern education without any discrimination.
EDUCATION SUPPORT PROJECTS
ÇYDD has It implements education support projects developed for students who have difficulty in continuing. “I Have A Daughter In Anatolia, It Will Be A Teacher!” While scholarships are given to strong women of today and tomorrow with the project, university students who manage to enter higher education institutions despite limited educational opportunities are supported with the “Bir Işık too You Are Near” project. CYDD, thanks to supporters of Turkey’s students so far has reached about 3 thousand computers and tablets in different regions.
